Raymond M Nowicki, CPA
|
Ray is the Founding Partner of the Firm, and is a 1976 graduate from Canisius College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. With over 35 years of diverse professional experience, including local and multi-national CPA firms, Ray has helped Nowicki and Company, LLP grow to be one of the top 30 firms in Western New York. In recognition for service to small businesses, New York Governor George Pataki awarded him the Small Business Advocate of the Year Award in 2005. He has served as a member of the AICPA Peer Review Board, a national standard setting body in the United States, and is regarded as a national expert in the area of ethics and quality control standards for accounting firms. He serves most of the firm clients, especially in a number of specialized areas including estate planning and trusteeship, structuring new business ventures, strategic planning and workouts, and litigation support. He is well-known for his charitable community work, including support of the Response-to-Love-Center ( an East Side Soup Kitchen and community service center).

Paul E Kiel, CPA |

Paul is a Partner and Tax Director for Nowicki and Company, LLP. With a career spanning more than 28 years, Paul has taken the lead role in matters dealing with pass through taxation for partnerships, LLC's and S-Corporations, and oversees the care of half of the firm's client base, including several key anchor clients in the franchising, venture capital and manufacturing industries. Paul is a director of the New York State Society of CPA's (Buffalo Chapter) and involved in a number of civic projects including obtaining recent funding for improvements of a local school sports stadium. Paul has been with the Firm for 10 years, obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1983, and a Graduate Tax Certificate from the Institute of Tax Studies at SUNY-Buffalo in 1993.
"Paul is known for being wise and conservative in his approach to his work, which is a nice way of saying he wears his belt with his suspenders. That thinking means that he is usually on the rights side of every tax issue, and our clients are better served for it".

Erin Kropski, CPA |

Erin is a 1978 graduate of SUNY-Fredonia and serves many of our Firm's clients in the small business and tax arena. Erin focuses on financial statement and tax preparation for closely held companies, and has dealt with a variety of manufacturers, distributors and retailers. She has a diverse professional background, having worked for international and small CPA firms before joining Nowicki and Company, initially in 2001. She has dedicated much of her time to the community as a volunteer for Roswell Park Cancer Institute, St. Gregory the Great School Board and Transit Valley Country Club. She and her husband John, are mentors at her church for marriage preparation.

Jill Gish

Jill has a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from Buffalo State College. Jill's career at Nowicki and Company began in 1990, where she began working part-time as a receptionist, while continuing her college studies. Jill is now the hub of client tax compliance, making sure that all tax filings for all clients reaches the appropriate parties complete and on time. In addition to caring for the three men in her life (her two sons and her husband, Michael), Jill manages all client communications to make sure that every client situation reaches the right member of our team, and gets immediate, caring service.

Laura M. Geiger, CPA |

Laura M. Geiger, CPA is a 1993 graduate of York College, PA, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, and has the unique distinction of dual US- Canadian citizenship. Laura started with Nowicki and Company in September, 2000 and is a client service specialist in the areas of medical professional service providers, construction contractors and wholesale distributors. Laura is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and has recently qualified as an Engagement Review Captain in the national peer review program of the AICPA.

| Theresa M. Buckley, CPA/MBA/RIA |
Theresa has been with the Firm since 2003 and assists clients with all facets of their professional needs, with emphasis in technology, tax credit opportunities and tax compliance. In addition to a Masters Degree in Accounting, Terry has a BA in Math from Canisius College, is a Member of the Mensa Society, and was a finalist in the US National Jigsaw Puzzle Championship. Terry is active in a number of community service organizations, including being a Board Member for the Bristol Home and Bristol Village elder communities.
